<p>Die Kleinstadt Beuvry als östliche Vorstadt von <a href="B%C3%A9thune" title="Béthune">Béthune</a> liegt etwa 35 Kilometer südwestlich von <a href="Lille" title="Lille">Lille</a> am <a href="Kanal_(Wasserbau)#Stichkanal" title="Kanal (Wasserbau)">Stichkanal</a> <i>Canal de Beuvry</i> zum <a href="Canal_d%E2%80%99Aire" title="Canal d’Aire">Canal d’Aire</a>, der im Rahmen einer Kette von Kanälen, die für Schiffe mit einer Ladekapazität von bis zu 3000 Tonnen ausgebaut wurden, den <a href="Gro%C3%9Fschifffahrtsweg_D%C3%BCnkirchen-Schelde" title="Großschifffahrtsweg Dünkirchen-Schelde">Großschifffahrtsweg Dünkirchen-Schelde</a> bildet.

Das Gemeindegebiet wird im Süden von der <a href="Loisne_Amont" title="Loisne Amont">Loisne Amont</a>, den Oberlauf des ehemaligen Flusses Loisne, durchquert, der nach größeren Umbauarbeiten bei der Errichtung des Canal d’Aire von seinem Unterlauf <a href="Loisne_Aval" title="Loisne Aval">Loisne Aval</a> im Norden des Gemeindegebietes getrennt wurde. Die Loise Amont wird seither in den Canal de Beuvry eingeleitet.

<p>Von 1993 bis zur Trennung im Jahr 1997 war die Gemeinde in die Stadt <a href="B%C3%A9thune" title="Béthune">Béthune</a> eingemeindet.
